BOSTON COLLEGE VS. SYRACUSE - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the 79th meeting between the two schools.
Boston College is 26-52 all-time vs. Syracuse.
This is the second of two regular season meetings vs. the Orange.
Syracuse is Boston College's fifth-most common opponent.

In BC's win over the Hurricanes, Heath scored a career-high 25 points, connecting on five 3-pointers.
Against Louisville, Heath registered his first career 20-point performance, finishing with 20 (5-10 FG; 4-6 3FG; 6-7 FT).
He scored 17 points at N.C. State (7-15 FG; 3-6 3FG); at Minnesota, he had 16 points, knocking down four 3-pointers.

Jay Heath tied his career-best with five trifectas, while Steffon Mitchell also tied his career-high with three 3-pointers.

FELDER POSTS FIRST COLLEGIATE DOUBLE-DOUBLE

CJ Felder posted his first double-double - 17 points and 14 rebounds - last time out against Wake Forest.
Twelve of Felder's 14 rebounds came on the defensive glass. The sophomore's previous high was 11 rebounds.
It is one of six double-doubles in ACC play with at least 17 points and 14 boards and one of 27 by a BC player since 1996.
Felder is believed to be the first BC player to grab at least 14 boards in his first double-double.

WELL-ROUNDED

Steffon Mitchell ranks as one of the most well-rounded players in the country.
He is the only active player - and one of 13 since 1996-97 - to post his career totals in rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.
He is seventh among active players in career rebounds (861) and is set to become the eighth BC player to grab 900 boards.
Mitchell also ranks first in career steals (155) and fifth in career assists (249) among all active players 6-8 or taller.
This season, Mitchell leads BC in rebounds (7.0 rpg) and could become the third player to lead BC on the glass all four years.
Only Craig Smith and Bill Curley have led BC in rebounding in each of their four seasons on the Heights.
He was the first BC freshman to average more than 8.0 rebounds per game, is one of six players to lead the Eagles on the glass in each of his first three seasons and one of eight to lead BC in rebounding average on three occasions.
In 2019-20, he was the only player in DI to average: 7.8 points. 8.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.2 steals,1.0 blocks per game.
Mitchell also ranked second in steals (2.2), sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.92:1), fifth in steal/turnover ratio (1.36:1), 18th in assists (3.1), and 15th in blocked shots (1.0) in the ACC last season.
His 2.2 steals/game average ranked 14th nationally and he was the tallest player in the top 30 for steals nationally.
Mitchell was an All-ACC and ACC All-Defensive team selection a season ago.
Mitchell has led BC in at least one statistical category (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) in 94 of his 106 career games.

HE JUST TOOK A DNA TEST AND TURNS OUT HE'S 100 PERCENT THAT RICH

Rich Kelly is averaging 10.8 points and 2.3 assists this season - his first in a Boston College uniform.
Through the first nine games, Kelly came off the bench and averaged 8.9 points per game - sixth-best in the ACC.
In six starts this season, Kelly is averaging 13.7 points per game, making 14-of-34 attempts from beyond the arc.
In the win vs. Miami, the Shelton, Conn. native poured in a season-best 27 points to go with four assists.
In his first start at Duke, Kelly scored a season-high 16 points and added 10 points at home versus Virginia.
He is connecting on 38% (28-74) from beyond the arc and his 28 3-pointers ranks second on the team through 15 games.
He has 224 career 3-pointers - 34th-most among all active players - and is connecting from deep at a 39.0% career clip.
