Eagles Have Successful Season Debut at BU

BC earns first place finishes in 1000m and 4x400m
BOSTON – The Boston College men's indoor track and field team kicked off its 2021-2022 season at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in the BU Track and Tennis Center on Saturday, Dec. 4.

Marcus Manson earned his second best and team's third indoor time in the 600m with a time of 1:20.93, good for second-place. Eddie Kelly and Friend Weiler (1:22.05) came in fifth and seventh, respectively. They also gained all-time bests with the team's fourth and sixth best times in the event.

The Eagles dominated the 1000m race with David Scherrer in first at 2:25.99, Steven Jackson in fourth at 2:28.42, and John Wacker in sixth at 2:31.31. In the event, Scherrer recorded the tenth best time in the team's event history.

The 4x400m relay team earned first-place, posting a time of 3:19.46. The team included Denis Gallagher, Jackson Sigalove, Eddie Kelly, and Marcus Manson.

BC is off until 2022 when they head to Harvard for the Beantown Challenge on Jan 8 at the Gordon Track Center in Allston, Mass.
