Eagles pick up setter from California for fall 2022 incoming class.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College volleyball coach Jason Kennedy announced the addition of setter Hanna Hoffman (Menlo Park, Calif.) to the team's 2022 incoming class onn Wednesday. Kennedy and the Eagles previously introduced a two-player recruiting class on National Signing Day earlier this month.
Hanna Hoffman, Setter, Menlo Park, CA
· Attends Menlo High School
· Plays for Absolute Volleyball Club
· 3 time League Champion, 2 time first team all League
· 210 kills, 213 digs, and 600 assists in her senior season
· Led her team to a program first appearance in the CCS Open Finals and finished in the top 8 the Open Division in California
Coach Kennedy on Hanna: "Hanna plays with such a high volleyball IQ that I don't think she's going to have much trouble adjusting to the next level. She was called upon to hit and set for her high school team this year and racked up over 200 kills in her new dual role. That's the sort of athlete Hanna is - she's a team first type of kid that is going to step into and embrace whatever role she's assigned. As a setter, you can tell her hitters love hitting off of her. She sets a consistent tempo ball that just sits in this hittable range for a long period of time. On top that, her high IQ enables her to run an up tempo dynamic offense already. I think she'll be a great fit for the similar sort of system we are trying to run out here."
