Éabha O'Mahony Named to Republic of Ireland Roster Ahead of World Cup Qualifying

The Irish national team is set to face Slovakia and Georgia.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's soccer player Éabha O'Mahony has been named to the Republic of Ireland women's national team roster that will face Slovakia and Georgia later this month in 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying later this month.
O'Mahony is one of seven defenders named to the 25-player roster that will face Slovakia (Nov. 25) and Georgia (Nov 30) at Tallaght Stadium.
O'Mahony, who started and played in 15 of BC's 18 contests this season, has been a member of the senior women's national team since she was 15, making her debut in a friendly against the U.S. in August 2019. Most recently, she was named to the roster for initial World Cup qualifying in October. She was also named to the senior national team roster for a 2022 UEFA Women's European Championship qualifying match against Germany last December. Additionally, O'Mahony has played for her country's youth national teams in the UEFA qualifiers, captaining the 2018-19 Under-17 squad. In 2017, she was a member of the U-17 team that reached the UEFA finals.
