Bilka Named Hockey East Player of the Week

AMESBURY, Mass. – Hockey East announced Monday that Boston College forward Hannah Bilka has been named the league's Player of the Week. The junior had three points in BC's win over Maine on Saturday.

The Coppell, Texas native scored two goals and added one assist in BC's 5-2 win over Maine on Saturday afternoon at Kelley Rink. Bilka helped spark the Eagles to a four-goal first period, assisting on the first goal of the game and then scoring the second herself three minutes later. She then forced a turnover and scored an unassisted goal midway through the third period to cap the scoring.

Bilka finished the day with a game-high seven shots on goal and plus-3 rating. It was her fourth career multi-goal game and 14th career multi-point game. She now has a team-leading seven points on the year off of three goals and four assists, with one of her goals going for a game-winner.

This is the third career weekly honor for Bilka, as she was named the Hockey East Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week once each as a freshman.
