Eagles beat Huskies on the road
DEDHAM, Mass. — No. 13 Boston College downed, Northeastern, 2-1, this afternoon. With the win, BC's record moves to 11-5.
Just under two minutes into the match, Elizabeth Warner got the rebound off a penalty corner and found the back of the net.
Early in the second, the Eagles were awarded a penalty stroke, Sky Caron fired a shot past Northeastern's goaltender, Erin Savage, bringing the lead to 2-0.
In the third quarter, the Northeastern scored its lone goal. The Huskies pulled their goaltender with 2:07 left in regulation, but BC was able to maintain possession and hold their lead through the rest of the game.
BC held a 14-10 advantage in shots, with a significant 13-2 advantage in shots-on-goal. Jonna Kennedy did not see any shots-on-goal until the second half. The Huskies attempted seven penalty corners to six for Boston College. Â
The Eagles return for their last regular season match-up in Winston Salem, N.C. on Friday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. against ACC competitor, Wake Forest. The match will air on ACC Network Extra.
