Eagles Kick Off Second Semester Against Merrimack

The eighth-ranked Eagles open up the second-semester schedule this weekend with a home-and-home series against Merrimack.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The eighth-ranked Boston College women's hockey team opens up its second-semester schedule this weekend when it faces Merrimack in a home-and-home series. The two Hockey East foes are slated to meet at 2 p.m. on Friday at Kelley Rink before a 2 p.m. tilt on Saturday at Lawler Rink.
Friday's game will air live on NESN. All games this season will be made available across the U.S. and internationally on SportsLive, while all games televised on NESN and NESN+ and other select matchups will also be made available on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app outside of New England.

WHAT'S ON TAP
• Boston College and Merrimack will open up the new year with a home-and-home series this weekend, facing off at Kelley Rink on Friday and at Lawler Rink on Saturday.

• Merrimack enters the weekend at 1-3-0 after a pair of home-and-home series against Holy Cross and UConn ... the Warriors split with the Crusaders, 2-4 and 3-2, before being shut out twice against UConn to close out 2020.
• Emma Gorski has played every minute in goal for Merrimack, going 1-3-0 with a .911 save percentage and 3.51 goals against average ... Gorski earned Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week honors on Dec. 14 after totaling 67 saves in the series against Holy Cross, including a 44-save performance in the team's 3-2 win.
• The Warriors have three players with two points each, with Megan Fergusson tallying two goals, Mack Emery two helpers and Sam Lessick one goal and one assist.
• Erin Hamlen is in her sixth season at the helm of the Warriors.
