BC Set to Face Holy Cross This Weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The eighth-ranked Boston College women's hockey team is scheduled to face Hockey East foe Holy Cross in a home-and-home series this weekend. The Eagles are slated to host the first game at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15 before a 6:30 p.m. tilt on Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Hart Center Rink.

Both games will air live on NESN+. All games this season will be made available across the U.S. and internationally on SportsLive, while all games televised on NESN and NESN+ and other select matchups will also be made available on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app outside of New England.

Bryn Saarela and Lilly Feeney scored for the Crusaders to hold a 2-1 lead after one but the Friars scored four unanswered for the win.
• Saarela leads Holy Cross with nine points on five goals and four assists ... Millie Sirum is second with seven points off of three goals and four assists ... Holy Cross has had 15 different players register at least one point while eight players have at least three points.
• Jada Brenon has started 10 of the team's 11 games in goal, going 3-7-0 with a 3.19 goals against average and a .905 save percentage.

CAPTAIN KELLY
• Through the first 10 games of the season, Kelly Browne has racked up 11 points on four goals and seven assists while recording 30 shots on goals and 120 face-off wins.
• Browne's 120 face-off wins rank third overall in the nation while her winning percentage (63.5%) sits second overall among players who have taken at least 175 draws ... through her first 150 face offs, she had a 62% win rate, marking the highest winning percentage for a BC player through the first 150 faceoffs of a season since Alex Carpenter won 69% during the 2015-16 season.
• The captain has four multi-point games so far this season, including the third multi-goal game of her career with two scores at UConn on Dec. 4 -- a performance that included a short-handed goal and a game-winning goal.
• She opened up the season with a career-long six-game point streak.
• Browne was named the Hockey East Player of the Week on Dec. 7 for her three goal, one assist weekend against UConn.
• The junior recorded 36 points on 13 goals and 23 assists a season ago while earning Hockey East Third Team All-Star honors.

THE NORCROSS NOTE
• Savannah Norcross currently sports a team and league-leading 12 points on five goals and seven assists ... her seven helpers already mark a career-high.
