
Wake Forest Captures 68-48 Win over BC

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Three Wake Forest players scored in double-figures as the host Demon Deacons defeated Boston College 68-48 Sunday afternoon in Winston-Salem.

With the win, Wake Forest moved to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the ACC while Boston College dropped to 5-5 on the season and 1-5 in the ACC.

It was a tale of runs in the first quarter as BC jumped out to an 11-5 run to the start game. Wake Forest gained the momentum back as Taylor Soule went to the bench with two early fouls and the Demon Deacons ripped off an 11-0 run to close out the first quarter to lead 16-11.

Wake Forest continued its momentum with a 31-6 run to take a 36-17 lead into halftime. The Demon Deacons held BC scoreless for the final 4:44 of the quarter.

Makayla Dickens led BC with seven points in the first half, but the Eagles shot just 25 percent from the floor over the game's first 20 minutes, including 1-of-11 from three-point range.

Boston College found its offense in the third quarter as the Eagles scored 20 points in the period, but Wake Forest kept pace as the Demon Deacons led 55-37 after three.

Dickens led the Eagles with 14 points on the day while Cameron Swartz added 11 points. The Eagles shot just 36.8 percent from the field as Wake Forest shot 50 percent on the afternoon and held a 40-25 advantage on the glass.
