GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference released its volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday morning with Boston College predicted to finish eighth in the 15-team league. A year ago, the Eagles posted a 20-12 record and 11-7 mark in the ACC, good enough for seventh place; all program-bests.
Senior middle blocker Amaka Chukwujekwu (Laurel, Md.) was selected to the Preseason All-ACC Team as voted on by the league's coaches. Last season, Chukwujekwu became BC's first All-ACC honoree since 2015 as a Second Team pick.
BC received its eight-match fall schedule from the ACC last week. The Eagles open play Oct. 2 and 3 against Louisville at home. The following two weekends will be played on the road at Pittsburgh and Syracuse before finishing the fall slate Oct. 23 and 24 vs. Notre Dame at Power Gym.
