Nine Eagles Earn Hockey East All-Academic Honors

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Nine members of the Boston College men's hockey team have earned a spot on the annual Hockey East All-Academic Team, which was announced by the league on Tuesday.

Each student-athlete achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or better in each of the academic periods during which he was actively competing during the 2019-20 season.

Zach Walker was named a Distinguished Scholar, having qualified for the All-Academic Team in all four years of varsity play. Ron Greco, Michael Karow, Jesper Mattila and Julius Mattila were all honored for the third time in their respective careers.

Hockey East set a new league record with 183 male student-athletes on the 2019-20 All-Academic Team.
