Boston College opened up the spring with a first place finish in the Eckerd Inter-conference Regatta on the weekend of Feb. 29 to March 1 at the Doyle Sailing Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. BC posted 68 points in the win, while Hampton placed second with 152 points and Northwestern was second with 152 points.
Eckerd hosted the 18 team two division event. The host finished sixth in the regatta.
In the A Division, sophomore Jack DeNatale and senior Eliza Wright tallied 44 points and placed first. The second place team was Hampton with 23 points. NC State was third with 71 points. In the B Division competition, seniors Colin Brego and Katherine Bowman placed first with 24 points, while host Eckerd was second with 39 points. Northwestern placed third with 69 points.
