Softball Drops ACC Opener to Georgia Tech

ATLANTA – The Boston College softball team fell in its ACC-opener to Georgia Tech on Friday, March 6 at Mewborn Field.

Susannah Anderson started the game for the Eagles, throwing four innings with four strikeouts and giving up five runs.
Â
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth, when Georgia Tech scored on an error. They then added to the scoring in the fourth on a two-run home run.

The Yellow Jackets hit their second home run of the game in the fifth inning, before scoring again on an RBI double and take a 6-0 lead.

Haley White relieved Anderson in the bottom of the fifth, giving up one run in one inning on two hits. Peyton Schnackenberg pitched the sixth inning for BC, giving up only one hit.

BC is back tomorrow, March 7 for game two of the series with first pitch set for 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
