Guy, Soule Earn All-ACC Honors

Guy, Soule honored by ACC Coaches & Blue Ribbon Panel
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Boston College senior Emma Guy and sophomore Taylor Soule were honored today by the Atlantic Coast Conference, as the league released the Coaches and Blue Ribbon Panel All-ACC Teams today.
Guy was chosen as an All-ACC First Team selection by the coaches and named to the Blue Ribbon Panel Second Team. Soule earned All-ACC honorable mention by the coaches and second-team honors from the Blue Ribbon Panel.
Guy and Soule are the first teammates since the 2010-11 season when Carolyn Swords and Stefanie Murphy received All-ACC accolades. Guy is the first player since Swords to earn first team honors.
A native of Penfield, N.Y., Guy leads the ACC in field goal percentage and is 15th in the country (58.8%). She is currently averaging 13.3 points and 6.3 rebounds a game. Against ACC teams, Guy is averaging 14.2 points and 6.7 rebounds while maintaining the 58 percent field goal percentage.
The forward has scored in double-digits in 23 games this season, including nine of the last 10 games. Earlier in the season, Guy 11-for-11 from the floor before she missed her first shot in the third quarter. She finished the game with a team-high 24 points in the win. Guy also hit the buzzer-beater against Notre Dame in Conte Forum on Feb. 13.
Soule is currently averaging a team-high 14.2 points and 8.0 rebounds. She is fourth in the ACC in field goal percentage (55%) and eighth in rebounding. Soule has led BC in scoring in 11 games, including five of the last six.
A native of West Lebanon, N.H., Soule has been dominant on the boards as she has hit double-figures in rebounding 13 times, including 12 times against ACC teams. She is fourth in the ACC in double-doubles with 10.
Soule had a breakout game against North Carolina where she was 11-for-13 from the field, scored 29 points and matched her ACC high of 12 boards in the win over the Tar Heels on Feb. 16.
Boston College (18-11, 11-7 ACC) will leave for the 2019-20 ACC Tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina on Tuesday. The Eagles finished tied in fourth place in the ACC and earned a six seed in the tournament. BC will play the winner of Miami/Clemson on Thursday at 8 p.m. (RSN/NESN Plus).
