Knight Collects Hockey East Rookie of the Week Honors

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Boston College freshman goaltender Spencer Knight collected his fifth Hockey East weekly award of the season on Monday as the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week.
Knight went 2-0-0 in net last week, stopping 49 of the 51 shots he faced against Merrimack and Boston University for a .961 save percentage. The rookie is riding a personal seven-game winning streak, during which he owns a 1.62 goals against average and a .940 save percentage.
The Darien, Connecticut native is fifth in the nation in winning percentage (.726) with a 22-8-1 record. He helped the Eagles clinch their 17th Hockey East Regular Season Championship on Saturday night with a 30-save effort against BU at Agganis Arena.
No. 4 BC (23-8-1, 16-6-0 HEA) is back at Kelley Rink on Friday (March 6) when it hosts UNH at 7 p.m. on Senior Night. Prior to the game, the program will honor the Class of 2020.
