Eagles Travel To Middlebury for EISA Championships

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College alpine ski team travels to Middlebury this weekend for the 2020 EISA Regional Championships in Hancock, Vermont for its final carnival of the season. The slalom will be run on Friday (Feb. 28) at the Middlebury College Snow Bowl, while the giant slalom takes place on Saturday (Feb. 29). The first run for both events at NCAA Regionals is scheduled for 9:15 a.m.
U.S. JUNIOR NATIONALS
• Parker Biele placed fifth in the women's giant slalom this week at the U.S. Junior Nationals at Snowbasin in Utah
• The junior went on to earn 24th place in the slalom yesterdayÂ
EISA RANKINGS
• Parker Biele has accumulated 132 EISA points in women's giant slalom this season to rank ninth overall
• Trent Gutstein ranks 21st in men's slalom with 46 points while Chris Bertram sits 35th with 17 points
• Three freshmen – Sophia Staudenmayer, Will Kornya and Spencer Wright – have all broken into the top-30 and scored points this season
2019 EISA RECAP
• BC closed last season with four top-30 finishes at the EISA Championships, which were contested at the Bates Carnival at Sunday River
• Parker Biele snuck just inside the top-25 in the GS and was 28th in the slalom to lead the team
• Trent Gutstein was the top men's finisher in the slalom with 26th overall
