The Agresti sisters are playing for the U.S. at the La Manga Tournament while incoming Eagle Sonia Walk is representing Canada at the Concacaf U-20 Championships.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College freshmen Michela Agresti and Samantha Agresti have been named to the U.S. Soccer Under-19 Roster for the La Manga Tournament March 4-8 in La Manga, Spain while future Eagle Sonia Walk is currently representing Canada at the Concacaf Women's Under-20 Championship in the Dominican Republic.
The U.S. will face England, the Netherlands and Sweden in the international La Manga tournament.
Michela Agresti logged a team-high 1,642 minutes in 2019 and registered two assists on the year, with both of them coming in ACC play -- doing it against No. 5 Florida State on Sept. 19 and against Miami on Sept. 26. Agresti, who was a member of the U.S. team that played in the 2018 FIFA Under-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay a year ago, was previously named to the U.S. U-20 roster for three international matches in February at the La Manga Tournament in Spain.
Samantha Agresti appeared in all 18 games for the Eagles in 2019, making five starts. She scored her first career goal in the season-opener against UMass and went on to record three assists. She finished the year with five points to rank second among BC rookies and sixth overall on the team. Agresti logged 960 minutes on the pitch.
Walk, who has signed her National Letter of Intent to join the program this fall, has appeared in both of Canada's group stage matches at the Concacaf U-20 Championships. The defender played the entire second half in a 2-0 win over El Salvador and then started against Guatemala on Feb. 24, going the full 90 minutes in the 0-0 tie. Canada sits tied with Jamaica atop Group E and has clinched a spot in the Round of 16.
