Pineau's 20 Points Leads Eagles Past Miami, 75-64

Eagles improve to 17-10 overall and 10-6 in the ACC.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior Georgia Pineau scored her season-high 20 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds to lead Boston College over Miami, 75-64, in an ACC match up at Conte Forum on Sunday afternoon.
Boston College is now 17-10 overall and 10-6 in the ACC. The Eagles are now tied in fourth place with Virginia Tech (10-6) and Florida State (10-6). The Eagles have won five straight games. Miami dropped to 13-14 overall and 5-11 in the conference.
Pineau, who along with seniors Taylor Ortlepp and Emma Guy, played in their final regular season home game at Conte Forum, shot 8-for-15 from the floor plus four assists with only one turnover in 29 minutes of action.
Senior Emma Guy pitched in with 17 points and four rebounds while sophomore Taylor Soule had 16 points and five boards.
The Eagles outscored Miami, 26-17, in the final quarter as the Eagles shot 50 percent from the floor and hit 9-of-10 free throws to secure the win. Pineau had eight points and Cameron Swartz contributed seven points in the quarter.
Miami was led by Beatrice Mompremier with 15 points and six boards as she returned to action after missing most of the season with an injury. Taylor Mason pitched in with 15 points, while Kelsey Marshall had 13 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a 10-10 first quarter, Boston College took its first lead at 9:44 in the second quarter on a layup by Georgia Pineau. The Eagles took a 17-10 lead behind an 11-0 run which started at the end of the first quarter. Miami's Mykea Gray stopped the run with a jumper to stop a six minute scoring drought. BC's Emma Guy hit two straight buckets as BC took a three-point lead with 1:30 to play but a three by Endia Banks ended the half at 27-27.
- BC did not make a three-pointer in the half had just 20 rebounds to 29 for Miami. Pineau led BC with nine points at the half.
- The third quarter mimicked the second quarter as the two teams battled back and forth. BC took a 49-47 lead into the final quarter behind 10 points from Taylor Soule in the quarter.
- Cameron Swartz hit the first three of the game to open up the fourth. A layup by Dickens with 7:45 to play pushed the lead to five points, 56-51.
- The lead grew to 11 points, 55-44, on a jumper by Swartz with 4:08 to play. That capped an 8-3 run by Boston College. Miami cut it to nine points twice but the Eagles slowly diced through the Hurricanes press and extended the lead to 14 points with 1:37 left in the game.

- Prior to the game, Boston College honored the three seniors – Georgia Pineau, Taylor Ortlepp and Emma Guy.
