Eagles Compete at Scarlet & White Invitational

BOSTON – The Boston College women's track and field team continued its indoor season at the Scarlet & White Invitational, hosted at the BU Track and Tennis Center on Saturday, Feb. 1.

BC's top finisher of the day was Emeline Delanis, who placed fourth in an extremely competitive 3000m field. Her time of 9:28.17 was the top time by a collegiate runner in the event and just enough to put her at No. 10 all-time at BC.

Paige Duca also had a solid showing, competing in the 800m. The redshirt senior ran a 2:08.21 to finish in sixth in the event, but was the second-fastest collegiate runner. Her time was also puts her at eighth all-time in the event.

BC had two more sixth-place finishes as Abigail Gothers hit a mark of 1.61m in the high jump and Sarah Heckel ran a time of 1:16.48 in the 500m.

What's Next
The Eagles are off until Feb. 27, when they compete in South Bend, Indiana at the ACC Indoor Championships.
