Wilder Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

Freshman Henry Wilder posted a .920 save percentage over his first two NCAA starts
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Goaltender Henry Wilder was recognized as the Pro Ambitions Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Monday following his first two collegiate starts.
The freshman posted a .920 save percentage over his first NCAA weekend against UConn, finishing with 69 saves. He made 30 saves and collected his first career win on Friday at Kelley Rink, then stopped 39 shots on Saturday at the Freitas Ice Forum.
Wilder also registered his first career point with an assist on Marshall Warren's game-winning goal in overtime to beat the Huskies 4-3 on Friday night. The Needham native gives BC at least one Hockey East award winner in each of the last three weeks.
No. 2 Boston College finished the first semester with a 5-1-0 record through six games, out-scoring its opponents 27-12. The Eagles are back in action against Northeastern in a home-and-home series on Jan. 8-9, 2021.
