Hannah Bilka and Jillian Fey scored goals and Abigail Levy finished with 32 saves as the No. 9 Boston College women’s hockey team topped No. 2 Northeastern, 2-1, on Sunday night.
BOSTON – Hannah Bilka and Jillian Fey scored goals and Abigail Levy finished with 32 saves as the No. 9 Boston College women's hockey team topped No. 2 Northeastern, 2-1, on Sunday night at Matthews Arena.
Bilka potted a power-play goal late in the first period to give BC a 1-0 lead that would hold until midway through the final frame. Katy Knoll was able to equalize for Northeastern but Fey responded just over two minutes later with her fourth goal of the season.
Levy stopped 13 shots in both the first and third periods en route to her first win as an Eagle. Aerin Frankel ended the game with 32 saves for Northeastern. The Eagles held the narrow 34-33 lead in shots on goal while going 1-for-4 on the power play and keeping Northeastern 0-for-3.

- 1st, 17:17 | 1-0, BC GOAL: Northeastern tried to enter the offensive zone while on the penalty kill but Bilka intercepted the pass, rushed up the center of the ice and drifted into the right circle before centering a pass back that deflected off a skate and past Frankel.
- 3rd, 9:25 | 1-1, NU GOAL: Peyton Anderson had her wristed shot from edge of the circle muffed but the loose puck popped backwards and Knoll skated on to it and slammed a shot to the far post.
- 3rd, 11:52 | 2-1, BC GOAL: Natalie Tulchinsky dumped the puck into the zone and Frankel went behind the net and handled it. While behind the net, Fey came up behind her, stole the puck and circled around to the front of the net and slotted it inside the post of the vacated net.
- BC now holds a 46-43-7 mark in the all-time series with Northeastern … the Eagles have a mark of 20-20-2 at Matthews Arena … head coach Katie Crowley is now 38-15-4 in her career against the Huskies.
- The Eagles are now 3-14-0 all-time against teams ranked No. 2 … this was BC's first win over a No. 2 team since a 5-1 win over No. 2 Clarkson on Jan. 3, 2013.
- The win ended a five-game skid in the series with Northeastern.
- Kelly Browne led BC with 12 face-off wins.
- Hannah Bilka led the Eagles with a game-high seven shots on goal … the sophomore has recorded at least two shots on goal in every contest this season,
- The Eagles are now 11-0-1 over the last two seasons when Bilka scores a goal.
- Over the last three seasons, BC is 6-1-0 when Jillian Fey scores a goal and 13-2-0 when she has at least one point.
