Roy Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

Gaby Roy extended her point streak to four games over the weekend.
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Hockey East announced Monday that Boston College freshman Gaby Roy has been named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week.

The Marshfield, Mass. native led all league rookies in points on the weekend after picking up two assists in the two-game series against Providence. Roy had one assist and two shots on goal on Friday afternoon and added another helper and shot on goal on Saturday.
The forward now has at least one point in each of the first four games of the season and leads all Hockey East players in points with seven. Her seven points on the season also puts her in a tie for the national lead.

This is Roy's second weekly award of the year, as she was named the player of the week on Nov. 23.
