No. 2 Eagles Sweep Hockey East Weekly Awards

Matt Boldy, Colby Ambrosio and Drew Helleson were awarded weekly honors from the league
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Second-ranked Boston College swept Hockey East's weekly awards on Monday morning following a home-and-home sweep of No. 7 UMass over the weekend.
Matt Boldy was named Player of the Week, Colby Ambrosio took home Rookie of the Week honors, and Drew Helleson was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week.
Boldy led the Eagles with four points on a goal and three assists over the opening weekend. The sophomore scored the game-winning goal to snap a 3-3 tie in the third period on Friday night at Kelley Rink. He then collected two primary assists in Saturday's 6-3 road win at the Mullins Center and finished the weekend at plus-3.
Ambrosio registered two points in his first two collegiate series against the Minutemen. The forward had the primary assist on Boldy's game-winning goal on Friday, then scored his first NCAA goal on Saturday. Ambrosio paced the team with nine shots on goal and was plus-3 in the home-and-home sweep.
Helleson had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 6-3 road win in Amherst. The sophomore finished the sweep with five shots on goal and a plus-2 rating from the blue line. The multi-point game for Helleson was the first of his career.
Mike Hardman, Jack McBain and Marc McLaughlin also had multiple goals in the series for Boston College.
