The BC volleyball team lost its fall finale to the No. 5 Irish at Power Gym on Saturday night.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College volleyball team finished its fall competition season with a 3-1 loss to No. 5 Notre Dame inside Power Gym on Saturday night. Both teams played while wearing facemasks.

The Fighting Irish (6-1) won the night with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-11 and 25-16. The Eagles won the second behind a .306 hitting percentage; pulling away from a 22-22 tie with two kills from senior middle blocker Amaka Chukwujekwu (Laurel, Md.) and one by senior outside hitter Clare Naughton (Atlanta, Ga.).

For the second night in a row, Naughton registered a double-double; posting 13 kills and a career-high 19 digs. Chukwujekwu hit .458 with a season-high 13 kills. Notre Dame's Aubrey Hamilton hit .425 with a match-leading 20 kills. Charley Niego added 16 kills and three service aces.

Freshman libero Anna Murphy (Zionsville, Ind.) finished the night with 17 digs. Freshman setter Sophia Lambros (Fullerton, Calif.) led BC with 22 assists, while classmate Grace Penn (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) contributed 18.
