Top-Ranked North Carolina Comes to Newton on Sunday

All home 2020 BC athletics events will be closed to the public due to Covid-19 protocols.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team will host No. 1 North Carolina on Sunday at the Newton Campus Soccer Field. The conference clash will air live on ACCNX – which streams live on the ESPN App. All home 2020 BC athletics events will be closed to the public due to Covid-19 protocols.
The team's pink game-worn pink jerseys from the game against No. 5 Duke on Thursday, Oct. 15 will be auctioned here through Sunday and donations can also be made here, with 80 percent of the proceeds going to support the Newton-Wellesley Auerbach Breast Center.

ABOUT NORTH CAROLINA
• North Carolina enters Sunday's game with a mark of 5-0-0, picking up wins over Wake Forest (4-1), Virginia Tech (1-0), Duke (2-0), Clemson (2-0) and Syracuse (2-0).
• The Tar Heels used goals from Talia Dellaperuta and Libby Moore and a fourth consecutive shutout from Claudia Dickey for the 2-0 win over the Orange.
• Rachel Jones leads UNC with three goals and two assists for eight points while nine total players have at least point point and seven players have scored at least one goal.

• The lone Eagles' win in the series came in 2010, with BC topping UNC, 3-2, in Chapel Hill ... a then fourth-ranked BC squad took down top-ranked UNC behind goals from Kristie Mewis, Alaina Beyar and Victoria DiMartino.
• In last year's meeting, UNC scored in the eighth minute and then again in the 19th on a penalty kick before adding third goal in the 80th minute for a 3-0 win ... Lotte Wubben-Moy scored one goal and converted from the spot for the Tar Heels.
