Eagles Set to Host Northeast Fencing Conference Meet

BC will host seven schools in the second NFC meet of the season.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College fencing team will be in action this weekend when it hosts a Northeast Fencing Conference meet on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Margot Connell Recreation Center.

The Eagles will compete against seven teams in Brandeis, Brown, Dartmouth, MIT, Tufts, Vassar and Drew University. Contests with Drew will be counted as scrimmages in the NFC and results will not be included in official NFC conference statistics.

-In the first Northeast Fencing Conference meet of the year back on Nov. 17, the Eagles picked up 12 wins.
-The men defeated New Hampshire (26-1), UMass (26-1), Sacred Heart (23-4), Boston University (26-1), and Brown (14-13)
-The women picked up wins over New Hampshire (24-3), Wellesley (14-13), UMass (21-6), Brown (16-11), Sacred Heart (24-3), Smith College (23-4) and Boston University (18-9).
-Boston College is the reigning champion of the Northeast Fencing conference on both the men's and women's side, as in 2019 the women won the title for the fourth consecutive year and the men took their first
