Boston College to Open Season at UMass Invitational

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's cross country team opens their 2019 campaign this weekend, heading to two meets, the Nassaney Invitational and the UMass Invitational. Both meets will be on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Preseason Polls
The Eagles came into the season ranked third in the USTFCCCA Northeast Region and 11th in the ACC Preseason Poll. The third-place rank is the highest the team has been since 2014 and has been talked as the "most improved team in the region."

Opening 2018
Last season, the Eagles claimed the Nassaney Invitational title, winning the event with 24 points. Then-sophomore Kylee Raftis won the 5k race with a time of 17:31.8, leading a group of four BC runners to finish in the top six.
