Eagles Open Season at Nassaney Invitational

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's cross country team hits the course for the first time in the 2019 season, heading to Rhode Island for the Nassaney Invitational, hosted by Bryant University, on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m.

"A major theme for this year is week-to-week improvement and we have seen that already in our training," said Head Coach Matt Kerr. We will aim to be a top-3 team at Bryant and build momentum toward the Battle in Beantown at home."

Sean Sullivan and Alex Horgan look to take the next steps in the 2019 season. Last year, Horgan ended the year with a new personal record at the ACC Championships, while Sullivan looks to step into a top-2 role on the team.

"We are excited to open at Bryant this Saturday as it gives us a first look at our race readiness," Kerr continued. "We have new leaders in Alex Horgan and Sean Sullivan who will look to make an impact in 2019, and our developing athletes include 6 newcomers who are hungry to prove themselves."
