Eagles Selected Third in USTFCCCA Northeast Regional Ranking

NEW ORLEANS – Boston College women's cross country came in at third in the preseason USTFCCCA Northeast Regional Rankings, as announced by the USTFCCCA Monday.
BC also received some national attention, garnering 18 votes in the National Coaches Poll.Â
The Eagles made a significant jump from the end-of-year final rankings last season, where the team was ninth. According to the USTFCCCA release, the Eagles were considered "probably the most improved team in the (Northeast) region."
The third-place ranking is the team's highest since the 2014 season.
BC opens the 2019 season splitting up for the Nassaney Invitational and UMass Invitational on Sept. 7.
