BC Duo Invited to Hockey Canada Selection Camp

Lindsay Agnew and Alexie Guay have been invited to Hockey Canada’s National Women’s Development Team Selection Camp.
CALGARY, Alberta – Two members of the Boston College women's ice hockey team have been invited to Hockey Canada's National Women's Development Team selection camp, which will run Aug. 2-11 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada's Olympic Park.
Senior Lindsay Agnew and incoming rookie Alexie Guay will be among the 45 players attending the development team camp in Calgary. The Eagles are aiming to be among the final players selected to play in a three-game series against the United States from Aug. 14-17 at the Markin MacPhail Centre. In addition to intrasquad games, the players will participate in several practices, off-ice dryland training, fitness testing, and classroom sessions leading up to the three-game series.
This is the fourth straight summer that Agnew will take part in the camp, with the captain twice earning a spot on the Development Team (2016, 2017). The forward – who transferred to the Heights this past fall after two years at Minnesota – made an immediate impact in her first season as an Eagle, as she set career highs in points (26), goals (15), and assists (11). Agnew led all of Hockey East with her four short-handed goals, a number that also ranked tied for second in the nation. Guay, like Agnew, is a two-time member of Canada's Under-18 National Team. The defenseman was an assistant captain on the gold-medal winning squad at the 2019 IIHF Under-18 World Championships this past January. She tied for second in tournament scoring with six points on two goals and four assists. At the 2018 event, Guay notched seven points on one goal and six as Canada took the bronze medal. Guay skated for the North American Hockey Academy this past season.
