Eagles to Host Northwestern as Part of ACC/Big Ten Challenge

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The opponents for the 2019 ACC/Big Ten Challenge were announced today and Boston College will host Northwestern on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Conte Forum. Game times and television network assignments will be released at a later date.
The ESPN family of networks will combine to televise the entire 2019 event, matching top college basketball programs playing for conference supremacy and the Commissioner's Cup. All games will also be available via the ESPN app.
This will be Boston College's 12th appearance in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and the Eagles hold a 7-4 mark in the event. Last year, BC earned a 68-56 win at home over Minnesota on Nov. 26, 2018.
This will be the sixth meeting between the Eagles and Wildcats on the hardwood. Northwestern has captured the last two matchups, including an 85-67 win in the second round of the NIT at Conte Forum on March 19, 2011.
Last year, the ACC/Big Ten Challenge ended in a 7-7 tie. The ACC took home the Commissioner's Cup in 2016 (nine wins) and 2017 (11 wins) and hold a 12-5-3 all-time record in the series. ACC teams are 127-98 in ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchups.
