Eagles to Play at Northwestern In Big Ten-ACC Challenge

BC-Northwestern scheduled to meet on Wed., Dec. 4
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team will travel to Evanston, Illinois to play at Northwestern on Wednesday, December 4 in the 2019 Big Ten/ACC Challenge, announced by the two conferences this afternoon. This is the 10th time BC has qualified for the challenge. BC is 3-6 in the challenge.
Boston College and Northwestern have met five times, including in the 2012 ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The Wildcats won the game at Conte Forum, 67-63. Northwestern leads the overall series against the Eagles, 3-2.
This is the first trip to the challenge for BC since the 2016 when the Eagles hosted Penn State. The Nittany Lions defeated BC, 60-56, at Conte Forum. The Eagles last victory in the challenge was in 2015 as they defeated Purdue, 58-56, on a three-pointer with seconds remaining from Nicole Boudreau.
The most memorable Big Ten/ACC Challenge game came in 2010 when the Eagles defeated Penn State in double-overtime, 113-104.
