Duca Races at the NCAA Championship

Eagles' distance ace finished 11th in her semifinal heat
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Paige Duca finished 11th in her heat and 21st overall through the semifinals of the NCAA 1,500m Championship on Thursday night at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin.
Duca clocked 4:22.28 in the second of two sections of the 1,500m. Her PR is 4:18.04, set last season at the Stanford Invitational. She registered a season-best time of 4:19.66 during the first round of the NCAA Championship Preliminary Round in Jacksonville, Fla. on May 23.
The Rockville Centre, N.Y. native was the first BC runner to qualify for the NCAA Championship since 2016 and was the first Eagle to race in the 1,500m at nationals since Shannon Smith in 2001.
