NEWPORT, R.I. (May 27, 2019) – In the final day of the LaserPerformance Team Race National Championship in Newport Harbor, the Boston College team placed seventh overall in the championship.
This is the second of three, spring college sailing national championships hosted by Brown University with the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA). The top sixteen teams raced with Yale winning the tile, followed by Georgetown in second and Stanford placed third.
Sailing for Boston College was senior Isabella Loosbrock, senior Emma Perry, junior Thomas Walden, senior Caroline Downey, senior Wade Waddell, freshman Robert Hunter, sophomore Sophia Reineke, freshman Declan McGranahan, senior Peter Lynn, freshman Laura Ferraris, senior Tara Ferraris and junior Katharine Bowman.
The Gill College Sailing Coed National Championship will take place tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Sail Newport in Newport, R.I. The event will begin with two days of Semifinals racing followed by two days of Finals racing.
