Paige Duca finishes eighth in the 1,500m on Saturday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Paige Duca placed eighth in the 1,500m run in a time of 4:23.00 during Saturday's final at the 2019 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championship, held at Lannigan Field on the campus of the University of Virginia.

In the 5,000m, Emeline Delanis and Lauren White each posted personal records. Delanis finished 12th overall in a time of 16:28.06, while White clocked 16:47.98 - good for 19th. Isabelle Kennedy registered a season-best time of 17:11.13, finishing 25th. Amanda Sinkewicz was 21st in the discus (32.38m/106'3").

In the high jump, Abigail Gothers placed 10th, tying her personal best of 1.65m (5'5"), while Jessica Creedon was 14th (1.60m, 5'3").

In the relays, BC's 4x400m relay team placed ninth in a season-best time of 3:53.41. The 4x100m relay placed 13th in a time of 48.40 - also a season-best. As a team, the Eagles placed 15th overall.

On Friday, Julia Lyons clocked the seventh-fastest 100m time in Boston College history, clocking a personal best 12.27 seconds on Friday night

Teammate Vanessa Reimer also recorded a PR in the 100m, posting a time of 12.72 seconds. In the 400m, Monica Heil ran a season-best 57.10 in the 400m, followed by Erin McGill's personal best of 57.31. Paige Duca clocked 2:11.25 and Gianna Bender 2:12.36 in the 800m. Duca will race on Saturday in the 1,500m final.

Jessica Creedon placed sixth in the heptathlon, with a personal best 5,041 points. She closed out the multi-event with a third place finish in the 800m (2:18.76), while also posting a fourth place finish in the high jump (1.66m/5'5.25"). Creedon will compete in the individual high jump on Saturday as well.

During Thursday's first day of competition, Amanda Sinkewicz set a new Boston College record in the javelin. Her throw of 46.44m (152'4") on Thursday night placed her seventh overall in competition. The mark also ranked among the top 48 in the east region, putting the junior into the field of the preliminary round of the NCAA Championship.

Jessica Martin registered a personal-best time of 4:35.85, finishing 26th in the opening rounds, while Katherine DeLoreto ran 4:44.55 to place 28th in the trials.

In other action on Thursday, Emma Taylor (1:01.61, 12th) and Sarah Heckel (1:06.17, 18th) raced in the 400m hurdles, while Vanessa Reimer (26.43, 27th) ran the 200m. Mary Kate Vaughn was 17th in the 10,000m run in a time of 37:28.38. In the long jump, Julia Lyons tied her personal best with a leap of 5.86m (19'2.75"), placing her 15th overall.
