Liu Tied for Seventh, Eagles Eighth After 36 Holes at ACC Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Bibilani Liu is tied for seventh overall at even par following the first 36 holes of the 2019 ACC Tournament at Sedgefield Country Club. Rounds one and two were both played on Thursday due to projected inclement weather on Friday in the Greensboro area.
Despite entering the tournament seeded 12th, Boston College sits eighth overall with a score of 599 (+23) through two rounds. The Eagles were third in the entire field in par-3 scoring on Thursday at 3.13.
Liu's day included eight birdies and an opening round 69, which had the sophomore in third place following the first 18.
Alexa Rivas is tied for 28th in the tournament at +5 after a consistent first two rounds, firing a 74 and 75. Ailin Li, who led the Eagles with 30th place last year, rebounded from an opening round 77 to shoot 73 in the afternoon. Li sits in a tie for 34th and moved up 10 spots after round two.
Katie Kim ranks just inside the top-50 in a tie for 49th place at +12. Linrui Chen shot a pair of 84's on Thursday and is +24 heading into the final round.
After a day off for the competing schools, round three of the ACC Championship is set for Saturday (April 20). Paired with Miami and UNC, BC will tee off on the 10th hole beginning at 9:20 a.m.
Tournament play will be carried live on ACC Network Extra beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday with Roy Philpott and Donna Andrews on the call.Â
