Will Peters has been tabbed as the inaugural UGBC Student-Athlete Senator.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee recently had a proposal passed by the Undergraduate Government of Boston College that will give BC SAAC a student-athlete senator position within UGBC. Will Peters, a member of the men's cross country and track and field teams, has been tabbed as the inaugural UGBC Student-Athlete Senator.
Â
The SAAC Board had been discussing the proposal through the year with UGBC representatives and president Reed Piercey. The position will allow a student-athlete representative to be a full member of UGBC with full responsibilities of UGBC and creates an opportunity for the student-athlete voice to be heard within the UGBC senate and general counsel. SAAC's goal is to use the senate position to increase student-athlete representation within on-campus clubs and organizations.
