Series Even Between BC and No. 17 Georgia Tech

Eagles and Jackets play rubber-match Sunday at 1 p.m.
BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Boston College baseball team dropped game two of its series with No. 17 Georgia Tech, 9-1, at the Harrington Athletics Village on Saturday afternoon. With the series knotted at a game apiece, the Eagles evened their record at 18-18 overall and dropped to 7-10 in the ACC, while the Yellow Jackets improved to 23-12 and 10-7.
A leadoff-home run by right fielder Baron Radcliff in the top of the second started the scoring for Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets then sent 11 batters to the plate and scored six runs on six hits in the third.
Redshirt-sophomore lefty Joey Walsh (Plymouth, Mass.) was chased after 2.1 innings with seven runs against him on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts.
Lefty Connor Thomas (5-1) worked seven innings of one-run ball in the win for the Jackets. He struck out four and scattered five hits and a walk; yielding a run in the sixth.
