Saturday Baseball Suspended Due to Lightning

Play to resume Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Saturday's baseball game between Boston College and No. 8 Louisville was suspended due to lightning in the area of Jim Patterson Stadium. The Eagles trail the Cardinals, 10-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning.
When play resumes at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, Louisville will have a runner at first and one out. Game three of the weekend will take place following the conclusion of game two with BC freshman right-hander Mason Pelio (San Diego, Calif.) starting on the mound.
In Saturday's contest, junior RHP Matt Gill (Simsbury, Conn.) allowed seven runs, five earned, on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 4.1 innings after keeping the Cards off the board through the first three innings. Lefty Nick Bennett threw five-shutout innings; getting around four hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
