BC scrimmaged inside and outside on Saturday morning
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College football team completed its 12th practice of the spring Saturday morning inside the Fish Field House and outside on the Chamberlin Practice Field. The Eagles scrimmaged both live and with thud contact over the two-hour practice.
BC now just has two practices remaining next Tuesday and Thursday before finishing the spring with the Jay McGillis Memorial spring game next Saturday, April 6 at Alumni Stadium. Admission is free with a youth clinic on the field at 9:30 a.m., kickoff for the spring game at noon and on-field autographs with the student-athletes following the conclusion of the scrimmage.
ACC Network Extra will broadcast the scrimmage live with Jon Meterparel and Pete Cronan on the call.
Scrimmage Notes: Quarterback Anthony Brown showed off his elusiveness and speed on a long scramble during the opening drive of the scrimmage … the drive ended with Brown finding running back AJ Dillon on a touchdown reception … EJ Perry connected on a 40-yard deep post to Kobay White as White went up between two defenders to come down with the chunk play … defensive end Joey Luchetti had a big day, finishing with one sack and a pick six interception … linebacker Max Richardson was all over the field again, as he has been all spring, including one sack Saturday … John Lamot had a nice open-field stop on Dillon from his middle linebacker position … linebacker Evan Stewart stepped in front of a route for an interception he returned all the way for a touchdown … Bryce Morais, Brandon Barlow, Elijah Jones Reggie Terry Jr. all finished with sacks during team periods Saturday … BC went outside for the first time this spring for the final 30 minutes of practice Saturday … Travis Levy scored on a 25-yard touchdown run to start a red zone period … Matt McDonald connected with Ethon Williams for a touchdown in the red zone … Danny Longman was 5-for-5 on field goals Saturday, including a long of 42 yards … Jahmin Muse and Mike Palmer recorded interceptions during 7-on-7 action during Saturday's practice … Perry found Levy on a touchdown throw during 7-on-7 play … head coach Steve Addazio visited NFL Network earlier this week to tape several segments to air next week on Total Access and Path to the Draft.
