Joseph Woll Signs Entry-Level Contract with Toronto Maple Leafs

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior goaltender Joseph Woll has signed an entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, who drafted him with the 62nd overall pick in the third round of the 2016 NHL Draft.

Woll made his final collegiate start last night in the Hockey East Championship Game after posting his sixth career shutout in the Semifinal against No. 2 UMass on Friday at TD Garden. The 36-save shutout came in Woll's 100th career NCAA start. He registered a .932 save percentage in five postseason starts in this year's Hockey East Tournament.

The St. Louis native finished the season with a 2.41 goals against average and a .919 save percentage in 37 starts for the Eagles. He closed his three-year career with a 47-45-8 record, 2.51 GAA, and .916 SV%.

As a sophomore, he was named a Third Team Hockey East All-Star and was selected to the U.S. National Junior Team at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo. He earned a spot on the Hockey East All-Rookie Team following his freshman campaign.
