Emeline Delanis Wins ECAC 5,000m Crown

Nicole Clermont advances to Sunday's final section of the mile
BOSTON — Emeline Delanis is the 2019 ECAC Champion in the 5,000m run, held on Saturday at Boston University. Delanis clocked a time of 16:24.82, winning by close to eight seconds over runner-up Emily Wolff of Quinnipiac (16:32.54). The junior covered her final 2k in 6:21.95, running her fastest split over the final 1,000 meters (3:08.81). Lauren White placed ninth overall in a time of 16:57.58.
Nicole Clermont was third in her heat of the mile and will advance to Sunday's finals. She posted a time of 4:47.46.
Gianna Bender narrowly missed the finals of the 800m. Bender registered a time of 2:10.49. Anna Harmon placed seventh in her heat, in a time of 2:12.93. Emily Criscuolo was ninth in her heat of the 1,000m in a tie of 3:05.15.
BC's 4x800m relay team combined to run 9:05.18 and advanced to tomorrow's final.
