Watts, McArthur Garner Final Hockey East Weekly Honors

Daryl Watts was named Player of the Week and Maddy McArthur was tabbed as Rookie of the Week
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Boston College freshman goaltender Maddy McArthur has been named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week and sophomore forward Daryl Watts has been named the Player of the Week after their performances this past weekend.
McArthur totaled 28 saves for a .933 save percentage and 1.61 goals against average in BC's season-ending overtime NCAA quarterfinal loss at No. 4 Clarkson on Saturday. McArthur finishes her rookie season tied for the league lead in wins with 23, a number which also ranks tied for third in the nation and first among all freshman goaltenders. This is the third time this season that McArthur has been named the league's rookie of the week and her fourth weekly award overall, as she also earned a Defensive Player of the Week accolade.
Watts scored her team-leading 22nd goal of the season in BC's 2-1 loss to the Golden Knights and also tied with teammate Lindsay Agnew for the league lead in shots on goal on the weekend with six. The All-Hockey East Second Team honoree finished the weekend a plus-1 and had one blocked shot. Watts finishes the season with a team-high 48 points on her 22 goals and 26 points and tied for the team-lead in game-winning goals with five.
