The lacrosse team is set to host the Big Green for a midweek regional matchup
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 1 Boston College women's lacrosse team is set to host Dartmouth Wednesday afternoon at Newton. First draw is set for 1 p.m. as pending inclement weather forced a schedule and venue change. The game will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
The Eagles are coming off of their fourth-straight win, topping Harvard 17-6 Saturday afternoon at home. Headlining the contest for BC was four goals from Sam Apuzzo while Kenzie Kent kept the offense rolling with six assists. Â Three Eagles recorded hat tricks: Apuzzo's four, and Dempsey Arsenault and Taylor Walker's three each. Arsenault got the score rolling for BC just 26 seconds into the contest.
The Big Green most recently secured their first win of 2019, taking down Binghamton 19-6. Kierra Sweeney leads the team, finding the back of the net 10 times this season and assisting teammates for three goals. Seven of her 10 goals this season came in the win over the Bearcats on Feb. 24.
BC, remaining at the top spot of all three weekly polls, remains hot with a 4-0 start to 2019. The Eagles have outscored their opponents 76-38 as Apuzzo, Kent and Arsenault have combined for 50 percent of the teams' goals so far this season. Apuzzo (26) and Kent (25) sit at second and fourth, respectively, for points scored so far this season throughout Division I.
The Eagles return to action following Wednesday's game on Friday, March 1, as they host No. 24 Southern California for a 3:00 p.m. draw.
