Eagles Shatter Records at ACC Championships

11 program records were set by the women's swim and dive team
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Boston College women's swim and dive team shattered 11 program records over the four-day ACC Championship meet last week in Greensboro. The Eagles set records in each of the five relay events while the NC State Wolfpack claimed the ACC Champion title.

HIGHLIGHTS:
The ACC Championship meet finalized competition for the women's team for the 2018-19 season. The men's team is set to compete in their own ACC Championship week, beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 27 in Greensboro. Â

HIGHLIGHTS:
- The relay team of Maura Grimes, Taylor Covington, Victoria Lin and Ali Kea secured a program record with a 1:40.25 finish in the 200-yard medley relay.
- The same group knocked another record with a 3:42.78 finish in the 400-yard medley relay.Â
- Ali Kea, Ashleigh Scott, Kristina Fecarotta and Aileen Coyne set another relay program record with a 7:27.62 finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay.
- Victoria Lin, Maura Grimes, Ali Kea and Haley Dolan knocked another relay record, securing a 1:32.69 finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay.Â
- Ashleigh Scott, Ali Kea, Maura Grimes and Kristina Fecarotta claimed the last relay record of the day with a 3:25.25 finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
- Maura Grimes recorded the fastest 50-yard backstroke time in BC history, finishing in 25.14.
- Victoria Lin reset her own record, finishing the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.99. Lin is the first woman in program history to make it under the 55.00 mark.
- Maura Grimes found a similar finish in the 100-yard backstroke as she became the first woman in BC history to finish in under 55.00, coming in at 54.94.
- Fecarotta claimed an individual record of her own, finishing the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.00.
- Alexa Lantin's 2:19.16 finish in the 200-yard breaststroke secured a program-best.
