BC Starts Indoor Season at BU Opener

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's indoor track and field team starts its 2019-20 season on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the BU Opener at the BU Track and Tennis Center.

What to Know
- Maureen Lewin and Emily Kane are the fifth and sixth seeds in the 1000m with seed times of 2:58.00. Lewin will be opening her collegiate indoor career at the meet, while Kane has a PR of 3:00.72, which she set at the BU Track and Tennis Center last season.
- Julia Lyons is the third seed in the long jump with a seed mark of 6.02m. She just trails the second-best seed, who has a mark of 6.03m. The senior won the event last year at this meet and went on to win the long jump at four meets last season.

- Anna Harmon placed fourth in the 600m with a time of 1:36.91.
- Monica Heil placed second in the 400m with a 57.81.
- BC placed third in the 4x400m relay, as Emma Taylor, Jessica Creedon, Monica Heil and Abigail Gothers ran a time of 3:56.42.

BC is off for a month until the New Year, where they will head to Harvard for the Beantown Challenge on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Gordon Indoor Track in Allston, Massachusetts.
