Knight Recognized as Hockey East Rookie of the Month

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Boston College goaltender Spencer Knight was named the Pro Ambitions Hockey East Rookie of the Month for November on Thursday by the league.

Knight ranked second in the country in both save percentage (.959) and goals against average (1.12) in November while leading the Eagles to a 7-1-0 record. He was previously named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Nov. 18 following his 2-0-0 league weekend in Vermont.

Overall, the freshman netminder ranks third in Hockey East in both SV% (.934) and GAA (1.92). Knight also leads all NCAA rookie goaltenders in both wins (9) and shutouts (3) in just 13 starts. During conference play, he paces Hockey East in every major goaltending category after seven starts.

Knight and the seventh-ranked Eagles host No. 9 Notre Dame at 7 p.m. on Friday (Dec. 6) at Kelley Rink to begin a home-and-home series with the Irish. BC enters the weekend riding a seven-game winning streak, the third-longest unbeaten streak in the nation.
