
Eagles Set for Home-and-Home Series with UConn

The sixth-ranked Eagles will close out the regular season series with a Friday home game and a Saturday road game.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The fourth-ranked Boston College women's hockey team is set to face UConn for two games this weekend to wrap up the regular season series. Friday's 2 p.m. game will take place at Kelley Rink while Saturday's 3 p.m. puck drop will be at the Freitas Ice Forum in Storrs, Conn.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
• The Eagles and Huskies will close out the regular season series this weekend with a home-and-home series...BC will host UConn on Friday afternoon before heading to Storrs for a Saturday matinee.
• UConn took the first meeting of the season, 5-2, back on Nov. 9 ... BC took the 2018-19 regular season series at 3-0-0 and then swept a Hockey East Tournament quarterfinal series, 2-0-0.
• Boston College is 36-16-10 all-time against UConn with a mark of 13-9-8 against the Huskies in Storrs and 21-6-2 at Kelley Rink.
• BC's offense is ranked fifth in the country (3.85) while UConn is 10th in both team offense (3.00) and team defense (1.83).
• BC was picked to finish third in the Hockey East Preseason Coaches Poll and UConn was tabbed sixth.
• Hannah Bilka leads the team in scoring with 20 points on 11 goals and nine assists ... Kelly Browne has a team-high 12 assists and six goals for 18 points while Cayla Barnes has three goals and 10 assists for 13 points.
• Maddy McArthur is 8-2-1 in goal with a .917 save percentage, 1.99 goals against average and two shutouts while Kelly Pickreign is 2-0-0 with a shutout and a 1.00 goals against average and .962 save percentage.
• The Eagles are converting on 21.2 percent of power plays and killing off 84.8 percent of penalties ... BC's offense is averaging 3.85 goals per game, fifth-best in the nation.
• BC started the season 9-0-1 before falling on the road at UConn, 5-2, on Nov. 9 ... the Eagles are now 3-2-0 in the last five games after topping rival BU, 4-2, Nov. 15 and falling to Northeastern, 3-0, on Tuesday night.
• BC opened up the 2019-20 season with seven consecutive wins and a 10-game unbeaten streak overall ... nine of the team's 10 wins have come in Hockey East play.
• BC's 7-0-0 start marked the second-ever such start for the program (40-0-0 in 2015-16).
ABOUT UCONN
• The Huskies carry a four-game unbeaten streak into the weekend, going 3-0-1 since a Nov. 5 win against Brown ... the streak includes a 5-2 win over BC on Nov. 9 as well as a 2-2 tie with Vermont and a 3-2 win over Maine.
• UConn is led in scoring by Natalie Snodgrass who has 15 points on a team-high seven goals and eight assists ... Catherine Crawley has a team-best 10 assists and four goals for 14 points.
• The Huskies sit 10th in the country in both team offense (3.00) and team defense (1.83).
• Chris Mackenzie is in his eighth year has head coach of the Huskies in 2019-20.

• UConn took the first meeting of the 2019-20 season back on Nov. 9, skating to a 5-2 win in Storrs ... it was the first loss of the season for BC ... UConn scored 55 seconds into the game and went on to have three, two-goal leads before the final 5-2 score ... Delaney Belinskas scored twice for the Eagles in the loss to become the 32nd player in program history to reach 75 career points.

LAST TIME OUT
• Sixth-ranked Boston College hosted fourth-ranked Northeastern on Tuesday night, falling 3-0 to the Huskies.
• Northeatern opened the scoring midway through the first period and then Aerin Frankel shut down the Eagles' offense, making 15 saves in a BC-dominated second period en route to her 31-save shutout.
• The Huskies added two goals in the final 10 minutes for the 3-0 final.
• Maddy McArthur finished with 27 saves while BC had the 31-30 edge in shots on goal.
• It marked the first time this season that Boston College was shutout … it was the first time BC was kept off the scoreboard since a 1-0 loss at Merrimack on Dec. 8, 2018 (32 games) … the Eagles have only been held scoreless five times since the beginning of the 2016-17 season (129 games).
