SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Cayla Barnes scored two goals and added an assist while Hannah Bilka and Kelly Browne each finished with two points as the No. 7/7 Boston College women's hockey team skated to a 4-3 win at Syracuse on Saturday afternoon at the Tennity Ice Pavilion.
Bilka finished with one goal and one assist while Browne had two helpers for the Eagles. Alexie Guay earned her first career assist in the game while Lindsay Agnew potted her first goal of the season.
The Eagles held a 2-0 lead midway through the second before Syracuse pulled within one by the break. BC struck twice in the opening five minutes of the third stanza for a 4-1 lead. The Orange fought back and cut the deficit to one with less than 90 seconds to play but the Eagles held off the 6-on-5 opportunity, with Bilka's diving block sealing the game.
Maddy McArthur finished with 33 saves for the Eagles with a vital 20 in the second period. Ady Cohen stopped 18 shots for Syracuse. BC went 1-for-3 on the power play while Syracuse was 2-for-6. Syracuse had the 36-22 lead in shots on goal.

- 1st, 04:37 | 1-0-, BC GOAL: After Barnes kept the puck in at the left point, she slotted it to Browne just inside the right circle. Browne was able to get the puck back over to a crashing Barnes for a finish at the left post.
- 2nd, 06:23 | 2-0, BC GOAL: Barnes stood Syracuse up near the red line and then Savannah Norcross picked up the loose puck and found Agnew skating into the zone down the left wing. Agnew reached the face-off dot and beat Cohen near side, top shelf.
- 2nd, 16:50 | 2-1, SU GOAL: From the right corner, Jessica Digirolamo hit Emma Polaski at the top of the crease for a tap-in power-play goal.
- 3rd, 02:07 | 3-1, BC GOAL: Browne worked across the top of the blue line before sending the puck back across the zone to Bilka, who collected it and went top shelf from the dot.
- 3rd, 04:53 | 4-1, BC GOAL: Barnes and Bilka broke into the offensive zone on a 2-on-1 and Bilka lofted a pass across the defender's stick to Barnes going down the left side of the zone and the defender put it home inside the left post.

- BC is now 7-1-1 in the all-time series with Syracuse … the Eagles are 4-1-0 at the Tennity Ice Pavilion and 7-1-1 under head coach Katie Crowley.
- Cayla Barnes picked up her first career multi-goal game … her three points mark a career-high … her second goal of the game was the second game-winning goal of her career.
- Hannah Bilka earned her third consecutive multi-point outing … the freshman now has eight points (4-4-8) in the last three games.
- Kelly Browne now has seven assists in her last three games.
- Alexie Guay's assist was her first career point ... four of BC's six rookies now have at least one point.
- In two career games against Syracuse, Lindsay Agnew has two goals and two assist for four points.
- The Eagles opened up the 2019-20 season with 27 consecutive penalty kills before Syracuse cashed in during a second period power play.
