Bilka’s Four Goals Leads Eagles to Win at Holy Cross

Hannah Bilka had four goals while Kelly Browne had four assists and Olivia Finocchiaro added four points on one goal and three assists.
WORCESTER, Mass. – Hannah Bilka scored four goals while Kelly Browne had four assists and Maddy McArthur made 15 saves for her second shutout of the season as the No. 7/7 Boston College women's hockey team claimed a 6-0 win on the road over Holy Cross at the Hart Center.
In addition to Bilka's four goals, BC also had Delaney Belinskas score her first of the year while Olivia Finocchiaro put home her second. Finocchiaro added three assists to finish the night with four points. Cayla Barnes, Jillian Fey and Hadley Hartmetz added one assist each.
Bilka opened the scoring with five minutes to go in the first period and then added three more goals in the middle frame, including a short-handed tally. Belinskas also scored on the penalty kill in the middle frame. Finocchiaro closed out the scoring midway through the third period.
McArthur (3-0-0) finished with 15 saves while the Crusaders' Jada Brenon finished with 12 and Julia Pelletier had 21. The Eagles went 1-for-5 on the power play while keeping the Crusaders 0-for-7.

- 1st, 15:02 | 1-0-, BC GOAL: Finocchiaro forced a turnover and Bilka picked up the puck, carried it back below the goal line and behind the net before coming out from behind the most and roofing a shot over Brenon's shoulder.
- 2nd, 2:06 | 2-0, BC GOAL: Finocchiaro won the puck battle in the corner to the right of the goal and fed a pass back in front to Bilka for the finish.
- 2nd, 3:28 | 3-0, BC GOAL: Breaking into the zone while on a penalty kill, Belinskas got to the right dot before wristing a shot far post for the short-handed tally.
- 2nd, 4:09 | 4-0, BC GOAL: After a defensive zone regroup, Browne fed Bilka into the zone and Bilka came down the right wing, cut in and slid the puck between the legs for her third of the night and her first career short-handed goal.
- 2nd, 9:06 | 5-0, BC GOAL: Barnes' slap shot from the point rebounded to the top of the slot and Bilka was there to backhand it past Pelletier's glove.
- 3rd, 8:26 | 6-0, BC GOAL: Fey carried the puck the length of the ice down the left wing before centering the puck to Browne. Browne's deflection attempt rebound to Finocchiaro to finish high.
- BC is now 4-0-0 in the all-time series with Holy Cross … the Eagles are 3-0-0 at the Hart Center and 4-0-0 under head coach Katie Crowley.
- Hannah Bilka is the first BC player to score four goals in a game since Toni Ann Miano had four against Northeastern on Jan. 13, 2018 … she is the 10th player in program history to score four goals in a game.
- Bilka's second goal marked her first career short-handed goal ... it came on the back of her first goal of the game, which was her first career game-winning goal.
- Kelly Browne's four assists marks the first time a player has had four assists in a game since Makenna Newkirk did it at Northeastern on Jan. 13, 2018.
- This was the 11th time the Eagles have scored two short-handed goals in a game and the first since Jan. 5, 2017 against New Hampshire.
- Kelly Browne now has a team-leading 10 points in four games against the Crusaders.
- Olivia Finocchiaro's four points on one goal and three assists mark a single-game career-high.
- Browne's four points on four assists mark a single-game career-high.
- Delaney Belinskas' goal marked the first short-handed goal of her career.
